Join us for a special day at Mimosa Grill as Executive Chef Jon Fortes welcomes nationally-celebrated chef, Chris Hastings, owner of Hot and Hot Fish Club, Birmingham, AL, named one of the best 100 restaurants in America by The Daily Meal in 2011.  Chef Hastings is a three-time James Beard nominee for “Best Chef in the South” and author of The Hot and Hot Fish Club Cookbook, A Celebration of Food, Family and Tradition, which focuses on contemporary American cuisine with a Southern influence. 

Cooking Class:  10am-12noon, featuring Chef Hastings and a four-course menu.  $40.
Dinner:  Chef Hastings and Chef Fortes will prepare and present some favorite dishes from Chef Hasting’s cookbook which will be offered as a special menu that evening.   Guests will also have the opportunity to purchase cookbooks and have them signed by the chef. 

A portion of the proceeds from the day will benefit Southern Foodways Alliance, a member-supported organization whose mission is to document, study and celebrate the diverse food cultures of the American South.

Our Sunday Brunch Buffet is a great way to wake up on Sunday mornings. The all-you-can-eat chef's spread features roasted meats, seafood dishes, traditional brunch favorites, southern specialties including Mimosa's Shrimp & Grits and a dessert table with a selection of delectable sweets.
